By Jacqui Devaney

After all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, who wants to take the time to find something to do for New Year’s Eve? Here at ATX Man, we’ve done the hard labor for you. Whether you’re looking for an easy night with a big fireworks display or a crazy, dancing-filled night with breakfast ’til 6 a.m., we’ve got you covered.

Remix & Revelry Party Featuring a Performance by Austin’s Latest Breakout Musician, Max Frost

W Austin’s Remix & Revelry party will take over the entire second floor of the hotel, including the terrace, making for a memorable evening with exceptional dinner by the bite, an open bar and a Champagne toast at midnight. Stacking the deck full of talented musicians, W Austin’s NYE sets the bar high, featuring a performance by headliner and local Austin artist Max Frost. Recently signed to Atlantic Records, Frost has been touring the country with another beloved Austin musician, Gary Clark Jr. The W will also host special performances by Emily Wolfe and Luis Banuelos, and DJ sets by DJ IWannaBeHer and Bird Peterson.

Willie Nelson at ACL Live

One of the most recognized artists in country music, Willie Nelson will perform live at the hotel’s adjoining Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater, which is located on the corner of the star’s namesake street, Willie Nelson Boulevard. W Austin offers a very special Willie Nelson New Year’s Eve package for those opting to see the hometown hero when he hits the stage on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31. The package, starting at $549 (for the show on Dec. 30) and $649 (for the show on Dec. 31), includes a hotel room, parking, two SIP cocktail cards for signature W Austin craft cocktails and floor tickets to one of the concerts.

TRACE Prix Fixe Menus (two seatings)

W Austin does not disappoint when it comes to providing guests, local and otherwise, with a true taste of Austin. Those wanting to eat pre-party or choosing to celebrate over dinner can partake in TRACE’s special NYE seatings. TRACE’s first seating from 5 to 7 p.m. is a four-course prix fixe for $115 per person, while the second seating from 8 to 10 p.m. is a $95 three-course prix-fixe dinner. Indulge in dishes like wagyu carpaccio; lobster mac and cheese with caramelized Brussels sprouts and bacon; South Texas antelope loin; seafood Bolognese with mushroom pasta, scallop, shrimp, lobster and truffle; and more.

Living Room Table Reservations

Guests looking to celebrate with a group of their closest friends have the option of attending the more intimate Drop the Ball party in the W’s Living Room. Tickets are $200 per person and include reserved seating, a welcome cocktail hour with open bar from 9:30 p.m. to midnight, a nibbles plate from TRACE, bubbles flowing all night and commemorative party favors. The event will feature tunes from DJ Go Go Garcia. To make a reservation for this event, call 512.542.3686.

There will be live music, including official State of Texas Musician Sarah Hickman, culturally diverse music and dance performances, films, interactive art installations and, of course, fireworks.
